Here is one of my latest bits. I've had an obsession with jewelry lately. It turned out just like I wanted it to. The big beads at the bottom keep the necklace centered so the water lilies don't end up in the middle of the necklace.

Lily/Lotus tutorial:

1. Make a pink and white skinner blend and roll it up so the white is on the inside.

2. Cut about a half inch thick slice and flatten it out slightly.

3. Run the slice through a pasta machine on the first setting. It will look like an oval or an egg.

4. Set your machine to the next thinnest setting and put the slice it so that the long way is horizontal. Set it to the next thinnest setting and repeat. This should thin and round your slice pretty well. Do this a total of 3 times, or however many blossoms you want.

5. Line up a pointy flower cutter so the white is in the center and cut out 3 flowers.

6. Cut out a tiny yellow flower for the center.

7. Center your flower on a rounded top stick. Even a pencil eraser will work. Gently push the petals downward a bit. Stick the second flower on top and push those petals down a little too.

8. Take the two flowers off the rounded tip. This is important. You don't want to add all 3 right away because you might mash the bottom too much or the center too much.
Put the yellow flower on the tip, then add the double flower again.

9. Now you can add the third set of petals. Don't push these ones down. Press the center firmly to stick everything together.

10. Enjoy your water lily!
