So I'm far too excited about making my first flower pin to match my favorite pair of earrings and I know you must all be sick of them by now, but what the heck? Here it is.

Your pin is very nice! I like putting the tulle in there. Adds nice texture.

Beautiful!  Smiley

I'm so not sick of flower pins.. or any kind of brooch for that matter. I love how your pin matches those funky earrings!

Very cute combo.  Grin

Now, did you make the flower out of felt? It has such wonderful texture.. especially with the tulle.

Thanks for all the compliments!

In answer to the question of how I made them, they were ridiculously easy. I just cut out flower stencil shapes out of the felt and netting in sizes that kept getting smaller and layered them so that all the petals showed (got the insipiration from trufflegirl http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=7448.0)Then I sewed them all together through the middle, added beads, a pin on the back, and there you go.

I'll try and steal my friend's digital camera and take pics of the earrings.

Oh wait! Laney's question was if I made it out of felt, not how... ha... yup, it's felt.  Tongue
