Hi - could any kiwi out there share their source for brass or copper wire?

I have used all mine up that I got overseas have tried all over the place including Mico and Global Metals (1 tonne minimun order - just a little bit too much) and no joy.  I used to get it at Mico years ago.

Hobby shops like Spotlight are no good either as it is just craft wire they sell.  I might end up ordering from the US but would love the avoid paying huge shipping costs for wire!

Any help appreciated ... you can message me if you prefer

Hi, I used to get sterling silver wire from a foundry in Auckland called Regal Castings. Don't have the phone number handy, but they're in the yellow pages. Would somewhere like that do copper and brass too? Might be worth a try. I think they had a minimum order of only $15. Good luck!

Thanks guys for your help!  I managed to get hold of some 2.4mm but will need to draw it down ... a lot!

Regal IS great ... a treasure trove for new tools and other playthings
