hi all, finally here's my modernised 1920s inspired dress, I got a double distinction for this and my research...(thats the highest mark possible).. i dont have time to go into detail...need sleep! But basically, bias cut, chiffony fabric handkerchief hem low waist... alot more went into it than that, but thats the techniquey part kind of... I did like... 7 months of research...  Undecided project was to research design and make a 2/3 piece outfit, based on the theme of 1920s. (with a modern twist)...

the coat Cheesy (faux fur, fully lined, hooded.. nice Cheesy)

anywho, it is fantastic.

it's a beigey colour. the brown trim was this HORRIBLE brown velour top I bought at a charity shop, it had the biggest shoulder pads I've ever seen attached to it...! lol.

anyone can make one, it really didn't cost that much, I think the chiffonny fabric was like... 5 for 3 meters or something ridiculous like that! Of course it's synthetic, but it was just the right weight etc.

Cheesy I'll put a tute up later, gotta get my sketchbook back from college first.
