I guess I will kick this gallery off!  I received an amazing package from AsphaltQueen! She sent me the cutest card, a gorgeous knitting needle roll (with needles and crochet hooks!!!!!!) and the softest yarn. I was so happy when I saw this!

Thank you so much!  This was an incredible package!

What timing! Here's the package I received from Errka.

This is what I asked for - a black t-shirt with the phrase "Oh, snippity snap!" and some type of related clip art. This shirt rocks - I'm currently wearing it, though it's a bit chilly in Michigan so I have a long-sleeve white shirt underneath - looks quite "snappy" if I do say so myself.  Grin (And when my husband saw this shirt, his response was "That is so you.")

PLUS, she threw in some extra goodies that I didn't even know about! A donut stuffy with handbeading (her very first stuffy, believe it or not), a handmade recipe collection of *drum roll, please* DONUT RECIPES! And there's even frosting recipes, too! (My husband keeps trying to sneak off with it to hide it from me.) And she also sent a cute notepad that I forgot to take a pic of as it's already in use!

Thank you so much for an awesome swap, Errka! I love everything and I can't thank you enough for my very first donut stuffy - you rock!

Wow! I'm doing a lot of posting today! lol. Redheadskydiver has received her package and asked me to go ahead and post pictures of what I sent her.

I sent her some yarn that hopefully is good for dyeing. (I wasn't sure! If not it sure is soft! Grin) A beaded necklace, a stamp and tons of magnets with some of her favorite bands for her fridge (I covered up Johnny Cash giving the finger so it wouldn't be offensive to anyone!lol)!

Pawnshoppromises: Hehehe, so glad you liked everything.  It was really fun making the dashund, esp.  I'm glad because if it weren't for you I wouldn't have given that pattern a try.

Catpants: Nope, no story behind the 6 rats and the doggie.  Just wanted to help add to the rat army.  Smiley

Lady Llanalla: Thank you!   Pawnshoppromises is the one who is spoiling me though.  Wait till you see her crochet magic.

Well, it's officially tonight! Soooo....without further ado, here is the gorgeous scarf pawnshoppromises sent me. (She also included an Aqua Teen Hunger Force patch, seeing that I love that show, and a cute note on a Blythe card! (I'm wanting to buy my first Blythe sometime in the near future.) Ignore my horrible sweaty appearance, I beg you. I've been in a three-hour life drawing studio for the last...well, three hours. Tongue

A close-up of the beautiful intricate pattern. My camera makes the colors all funky; the chair it's resting on is actually fluorescent lime green and the scarf is seafoam.

Again with the weird colors, but here it is. I think there are...9 medallions in all? It's lovely and long. (I'm six feet tall, so I need long ones!)

Action shot one!

Scarf love.

The deadly scarf ninja.

Thank you, pawnshoppromises! I hope Clank gets to you soon.

i've been naughty and haven't posted pictures of the two awesome packages i received!  sorry, swap partners!

first up, super cute stitchmarkers (two of each: sheep, tare panda, and bird) from irid3sc3nt.  she also sent a pack of much-needed stitch holders (one pictured) and a peppermint soy candle which smells absolutely heavenly  Grin

then scissorsister7 made me this amazing purse:

i was only able to snap one picture before my camera died, but it has a magnetic closure and a little pocket inside.  i love it!

in return, i sent her two charm bracelets:

thank you again, irid3sc3nt and scissorsister7 -- you are both awesome swappers!!

Get your Wist buttons ready, and prepare to be amazed...

I received the most AWESOME Clank (from the Ratchet and Clank video games series) stuffie from Calliel yesterday. He's so cute, and she captured every tiny detail. I've been having a hard time keeping my boyfriend away from him. Haha.

Thank you soo much Calliel. You're amazing!  Cheesy

Lookie what the super talented pawnshoppromises made for me!  A lovely Hello Kitty scarf!  She's such a perfectionist.  She even lined the back so that the backside of the kitty faces wouldn't show.  Lana was happy to model the scarf.  It's wonderful!!   And she not only sent me back the postage that I used on my package, but she sent me stamps from her collection as well.  Yay!!  Our stamp collection is growing by leaps and bounds.  Thank you!!!

The awesome scarf:

Lana is absolutely adorable! Please give her a big hug for me.  Smiley

Oh, and I'm sure the stamps were happy to be rescued from the plastic bag I've been keeping them in for years. I got them from some free mail-away thing, way back when I was still in elementary school.

I finally took a picture of both of catpants packages together!

In her first package she sent me a tiny retractable measuring tape to go with my knitting in a cute fruity theme  (you pull on a bunch of bananas to get the tape out!) and two bars of felted soap.  Felted soap is a mystery to me as to how it's made, but I LOVE using it.  Heh, now that I've taken pictures, they're going in the guest bathroom and kitchen---most excellent for getting sticky dough off of your hands.

Then she sent me a second package!  This one had the needlefelted goodies:  sushi earrings which I wore right away out with my friends who had come in from Chicago, heart barrette (I get lots of compliments on this at work), and a purple flower pin which I had to find.  I had set it up on a bookcase so my cat wouldn't get it, cuz she loves to mess with needlefelted things, and it was the last piece before I could take a picture.  Yay!  Now I can wear it!

Thank you so much, catpants!!!  And sorry about getting pictures up late... Embarrassed

Irid3sc3nt and i did a swap, i swapped her 3 handmade knitting needles with toppers for my crochet maryjanes.

unfortunately the ellies did not make it in one piece.

i love these, they were wrapped up very nicely and each individually bubble wrapped, plus extra bubble wrap top and bottom to protect it.  Even with all the cushion, I guess the trip was just too hard on the elephants.

i was thinking of just setting these on display, but i think I'm going to use the Doraemons to knit right away... I want to try them out.

When she sent the package she had said she made my one of my favorite characters, i thought she meant hello kitty, i didn't think she meant Doraemon.

wheeeeeeee!  I'm so happy.

now i'm all anxious for her to get my package.  I hope it arrives ok... maybe it got lost on the way there.  If so, i'll send out another one...

i hope you like your slippers as much as i like my needles!

thanks for such a great swap.

and thanks catpants for hosting it!!

That is so true! It seems like every time I get a package with Fragile on it, the box/envelope is in terrible condition. I told my boyfriend that I think the postmen play soccer with the packages.

I don't think there's anything you can do to make the package not damaged upon arrival, you shoulda seen the other package I got, it was padded with paper and all the paper fillings on the inside burst open, paper feathers all over the swap items.  It's ok about the needle, I'll just tape it back up, i think it will still be useable.

I used the doraemon needles to cast on for a panta last night... hehe, Doraemon flying about everywhere.  Is it weird that i don't want to use the swap items for fear of it being mishandled by me, and broken?  although i think I would encourage the person that got my items to use the items, otherwise it seems sooo wasteful.

Those last few packages are really great! This swap didn't have a ton of people in it but it had such a high quality of goods! I love it all.  Smiley  I received from la_chrystelle and I can't believe how much amazing stuff there is in this package. SERIOUSLY! I appreciate how she took the time to think about what I would like (colors, themes, etc.) Check it out:

Artwork: (nice!)

Necklace: (sweet!)

Pillow #1: (Cute!)

pillow #2: (cute! - these pillows will look even better when I find the right size pillow form - I just used what I had on hand for the photo)

Craft utility belt: (LOVE THIS)

in action! (First pic is true color)

tote: (yeah!)

Hip belt: (love)

in action, sassy-style:

black hip belt: (couldn't get a decent pic in action but trust me, it's great)

wrap skirt: (it's looking kinda nice on my dining room table right now!)

and of course, the famous stroopwafels: (yes I already ate one and they are very yummy)

Thank you so much for swapping with me la_chrystelle! Your skills are terrific and your generosity is beyond stunning. I am still in shock over how great this package is. I love everything you sent!  Kiss

stroopwafels are hard to describe, but I will try: They are two thin waffles with a layer of caramel in the middle. You make some hot coffee or tea and put a stroopwafel on the top of your cup, like a lid. After a while, the caramel inside melts and when you eat it you want to marry it!

Nice package, indeed. lol.  Wink
