So I was digging through my stash, and I discovered two balls of unused Sugar'N Cream American Stripe yarn.

It was then I had an epiphany.

8 days till Obama's inauguration!!!

and I decided I had enough time to knit myself and Inauguration Day scarf!

*Cheesy attempt at Obama-style knitting speech*
Whether Democrat, Republican, Independent, or even Communist, let us all come together as Americans and knit for America!!!!

Ha. Haha.

Really though. Knit along with me!
I am attempting this scarf:

-which I may not be able to accomplish,
but you can use whatever item/pattern you choose, just make it worthy of using on Inauguration Day.

Republicans can knit hankies to weep silently into.

I'm in! Let me start digging through my stash now.
Might not be the same style. Tucson is getting hot
so it will be a skinny stylish one. ^.^

Awesome scarf pattern, but maybe next year for that.  I will think of something to knit though.  Maybe a calorimetry.  For the first time ever I am taking off of work to watch the inauguration.  I never gave a crap about them before this year.  I love this knit-a-long. Cheesy  Thanks for the idea.

We have a new president!!

And I have a new scarf:

BTW...
That is my roommates side of the room.
Though I am equally untidy.

I really loved this pattern!
I was pretty confused at first, but now that I've gotten the hang of it, I'm going to miss knitting it. Cry
I only used one ball of yarn..
I wanted it to be longer, but I ran out of time.

I am content though.
I wore my stripes all day today, after waking up early to watch the inauguration on choppy internet streaming.
Curse you Pacific Standard Time!!!
