I'd really like to sign up for this swap as I'm really into the Civil War right now but I'm very very terrified.  It seems like this is going to be clothing making.  Am I reading into it wrongly?  I really want to take part but might let fear turn me away.

yeah the civil war rocks.  But I don't really think I'm gonna join as school and work would make crafting in the short time period hard for me.

yeah school and work suck Sad but i need knowledge and money.

I agree with you there, school and work to suck. Especially on mid-term week and deciding I needed to work near full time hours again.

I'd encourage you to join even with crazy stuff like life. As far as swapping clothing you're making the crafts so technically you get to make whatever you want  Wink I love the civil war too but I don't think it's very practical to be walking around in a dress based on the 1863 tight ass corset and uncomfy shoes.

Ooh. Just another site of non-fashion inspiration: http://www.trystancraft.com/martha/motifs/index.html --> I know this is technically gothic, but the medieval, victorian, and egyptian motifs could be really good springing off points!

(And I am signing up some time tonight... if I ever can figure out exactly which historical periods I want! I like so many...)

Is it too late to sign up for this one?

Looks like there is a nice even # for this swap...I don't want to bungle it!

Just letting everyone know I've updated the list on page one. I'm going to run sign ups until I get home from work tomorrow, that's 9 pm eastern standard time. I should have partners out within 24 hours after that Smiley

I can't wait to get started crafting Smiley
