Wow, some more gorgeous roving, I especially love the one sewknitter received! Btw, sewknitter, could you explain to me how this hand spinner works? I tried to understand from the etsy listing, but have so many questions open... how do you use it? and do you still have to wind on like on a drop spindle?
Thanks,

Veronika

I finally got pics of the roving I received from Froggyfibers - it's really beautiful!  I wasn't able to capture the colors very well - they're really bright and vibrant - greens, my favorite!

She also sent some sock yarn - very springy!

Thanks Froggyfibers!!!

Here is a picture of the roving I sent to inle-rah.

Watercolors...  This took some experimenting.  I found out the hard way that wilton cake dyes seperate during the dying process.  I expected purple and got reds, pinks, and blues...  The second time around I used wilton blue and kool aid purple(grape).  Much happier with the results.

I also sent her this extra roving:

Sunshine in the Grass.  I just love the yellow!

And here are the stitch markers I made for her:

They're my first.  Glad you liked it all inle-rah!

I received my very lovely roving from yarn mafia today. These are basically the same picture, one with and then without the flash
I got 4 oz tussah silk in a lovely purple color and my extra was hand dyed yarn mohair boucle and hand spun wool.

Yarn Mafia also spun up a little of the silk and knit it into a lace sample. Makes it very tempting to go laceweight and find the right project for it.

THANKS YARN MAFIA!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the wonderful fiber that I received from mayerlove:

Clockwise from top left: dark green wool/mohair blend, tons of silk hankies, natural farm wool, blue and purple corriedale.

I've never spun corriedale or silk before and can't wait to try them out.  Thanks again mayerlove!

Here (finally) are the photos of my roving from snowberrylime!

Here's the entire package - 4oz of merino roving, silk fibers dyed in complementary colors, buttons and other goodies to "spin in," and a cute miniwallet!

Here's the close-up of just the beautiful roving:

I'm spinning it now...

yay! Hope you have fun spinning it up. Smiley
I just received tenrec's beautiful package this morning:
I'm entirely in awe by your dying skills - I tried dying blues and greens and just don't seem to get it right. And my Ashford red is just much too light for my liking.

This bottom roving is lovely red /orange merino with silk (beautiful colour and so nice and soft - can't wait to start spinning it).
The blue/green is soft merino and such gorgeous colours! In addition I got some banana fibre to try out! This is some tough fibre - not quite sure how to deal with it yet, lol.

...and the compulsory close-up:

Thank you sooo much!! I'm undecided wether the red one should become a single or 2ply, but I'll probably start on it later today Cheesy
