I keep seeing this sweater all over, where is everyone getting the pattern?is it a free pattern, or from a book?I really want to knit one for myself!

great work! first sweaters are really a test of patience, I think, and that one is sooo great! way to go!

Totally gorgeous (your bf too  Wink).

Hmm. Does the fact that you made it for you and the bf appropriated it negate the boyfriend sweater curse? Or perhaps the presence of two boyfriends simply cancels out the superstition? This theory needs testing. And more male knitters (no ulterior motive here).

I'd love to see a picture of you in it! As cute as your boy is, I'm sure it looks even better on the creator!

thanks everyone!!!  katatsumuli - it took about... oh dear, i'm not quite sure how much yarn it took... perhaps about 7 skeins?  i was going for a vintage look as much as possible so thanks for saying that you think it accomplished that!

devguitarchick - the pattern was in the magazine knitscene... i don't have it right in front of me right now to let you know what season, but there is a knitalong for this pattern over in that section and i'm sure it says there!

wickedstitch - knitting it "for myself" but so that the boyfriend could wear it too was my way of sneaking around the boyfriend sweater curse! Smiley so far so good!  and as requested...

thanks again everyone for the kind words and encouragement!!!

It looks great on you! The mods you made are very flattering, and the color is perfect.

Nicely done!

That sweater is AWESOME!!! (I've made one, love the pattern.)

You were TOTALLY right to obsess over the buttons, I think they totally add character to the whole thing! :-) And the colour rocks too.
