Yay for the slouchy hat!

I love Patton's SWS! And the seed stitch didn't take as long as I was thinking it would. It only took 3, maybe 4 days to finish.
One more:

And the pattern is here: http://knitandtonic.typepad.com/knitandtonic/2006/12/leslouch.html

I love that!  The colors are so pretty & soothing.

That's the shape I was going for with the Pithy Hat from Spiderman, but it didn't quite turn out that way!  I'll definitely be trying this pattern.

I printed out the pattern yesterday and hope to get started on it this weekend--thanks for posting your feedback and showing off your hat!  The colors are beautiful and I like the picture from the top--it will help me know how it should look!

Anything made of SWS will be beautiful! I have yet to knit something with it though. Gorgeous hat.

Thanks for the comments!

I've worn this hat for two days in a row now. Observations: I itch in SWS but will put up with it. SWS is very kind; it hides when you put a K where a P should be. It stretches! The cast on was really crazy tight and I thought I'd be gifting this to a little girl. Thankfully, it did stretch and may even be a tad loose but the fit is nicer that way. It covers my ears just so.

I bought some SWS yesterday to make this hat after seeing how pretty yours was.   I'm always at a loss to know what to do with varigated yarns....

Wow, the seed stitch turned out wonderful with the SWS.  Did it take more than one ball?  What size needles did you use?  Thanks!

I'm not sure how much exactly was used. I had some left over from a scarf project, used that one up and had to buy another one and used part of that one. The leftovers look about the same amount as the bit I started with. I'd buy two balls, though, to be safe. The nice thing about this yarn and pattern is I wasn't too worried about the dye lot. The seed stitch kind of breaks up the stripes so if the colors are slightly off, it's too hard to tell.
