oh wow, thanks guys!!  Now I only wish I'd seen orangeabsinthe's post sooner, I would've stuck it in her stocking anyway!

that's hilarious, lovely_gangster, that we have the same fabric!  My parents traveled to the States in 1981 about a month before my brother was born, and they bought a bunch of panels (including this one) and never did anything with them.  oh, lucky lucky me!

The best place I've found to buy vintage fabric panels is on Ebay (wow, who would've thought...).  I really want to buy some more, but i have so much fabric that my hubby threatened if I bought any more, he'd throw it all out!  well, he wouldn't really do that cos I'd take the pugs and leave.  we'll i wouldn't do that either...

thanks so much again, guys, you really made my day!!

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

thanks! Grin  I've made a couple more since then, one for a swap, so I've been experimenting a little with adding extra pockets and stuff...I love making them!

That fabric reminds me of those old pictures that were divided up into three pieces that hung on the family rooms in the seventies!!!

I know I would love to have a needle holder that was that nice.  I could probably use several to hold all the needles I have. ha ha
