I finally got my digital camera to work... so i am posting this purse.  I made it by getting to rectangular pieces of swirly fabric and pleating (?) them at the top so that it is narrow at the top and gets wider as it goes down.  then i put batting on it, and did free motion stitching all over it, which is basically making a swirling stitch where you try not to cross over a line you have already made.  i added the green fabric at the top because it was too small.  the handles are plastic black handles i got from Wal-Mart that i attached with little loops of the green fabric.  I have made lots of other purses, so i'm not a beginner sewer, but this is my first picture post. I hope you like it

here is a close-up of the stitching

Beautiful stitching! I love the slightly quilted look it gives the bag. The handles are a nice touch also.

That's amazing.  The handles are great, I love the colours and the swirls add so much style!  Cheesy

It does look like it belongs in a boutique.

It is more like a work of art than a purse.  JMHO

I totally second that. There's a bag shop (oh, sorry - "boutique" hehe) near me, that sells stuff very similar to this - usually for over $100. It looks AWESOME.
