thanks so much!! I bought the tape measure fabric from zandsfabrics.com its by moda. I didn't use a pattern but i mimiced some purses that i've seen in different etsy shops and around craftster, i just liked that kind of shape with the binding.

I don't have an emergency bag either, but I have found myself wishing I did seeral times here lately.  Yours is very well put together, and I love the fabric and colors that you chose.  I bet it makes you proud, and productive!

This is such a good idea! An adult "busy bag!" I hate having to wait for appointments with nothing to do but stare at the walls. I need to make something like this to leave in the car. Then I just need to remember to take it in to my appointment with me!

I LOV YOUR JUST IN CASE PURSE! i just had to make one for myself and i used an old t-shirt of mine!
For the straps of the bag i took a couple different black and white fabrics that i had and cut them into strips and then braided them together. It works out nicely

I love the way the bag is kind of slit on the sides so that the bag opens wider!

I had to make sure that for the inside of the purse i used a sturdy fabric because the outside was just the stretchy jersey t-shirt material.
Thanks for the inspiration superstitch! I plan on making alot more of these soon!
