I want to make a nice, supersoft sweater, but I'm not sure which ones will work particularly well in this yarn.  any tips?

Depending on your size, 6 balls (about 660 yards) usually isn't quite enough to make a long-sleeved sweater (if you look at the pattern material lists, sometimes they list the total yardage).

Maybe something short-sleeved, sleeveless, or with lace patterns?  I'm not sure if you would be able to do a 3/4 sleeve pattern with just that yarn.  You could always do a variation on a pattern that you like, too. I've seen long-sleeves patterns changed to short.

Start by searching pictures or flipping through knitting books and magazines (the library or a bookstore that lets you do that is great Cheesy)

thanks, fiasco -- I'm an idiot, and I just recounted and actually have nine.  (I'm in a miserable studying haze and not at my smartest these days!)

Maybe you've already seen this (it seems like too big a coincidence otherwise), but elliphantom made Blaze with Andean Treasure and she liked it.

You could make Calista's Alexander McQueen knock off sweater. As I recall, her pattern uses KnitPicks Andean Treasure.

the Glee sweater from Zephyr style uses Andean Treasure. I finished it a few months ago and it's my first wearable sweater I've knit and I get compliments on it from people before they know I made it! I made the small and needed slightly more than the 6 skeins they suggest (the sweater's a little shorter than it should be, but not enough to be worth ordering more yarn and paying shipping to canada.)

I picked up some Andean Treasure a while ago to make Bella Paquita, but haven't gotten to it yet.
