A few more attempts at this type of bead. It's hard to get the effect you want, but these ones escaped being squished into scrap clay. My second pic transfer pendant. I love it, but haven't found a way I like to wear it yet, so it's been sitting in my bead box all lonely.

Aren't  they fun!!!! ... and very addictive  Grin
(And that transfer is very saturated too... which method did you use?)

P.S. Paisley-sink, there are lessons on making 4-symmetry ("Natasha") beads and also 1-symmetry beads on this page:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/beads.htm
(...click on Symmetrical Pattern Beads near the bottom of the list, then scroll down a bit)

Diane-thanks for posting a link to that tutorial, I wasn't sure how I should go about explaining it. I used TLS and a magazine picture. I've had some trouble getting all the paper fibers off though, and I soak it in hot water for awhile first after baking. Any tips?

There are some tips on soaking to remove the fibers, as well as other ways to do transfers so there is no soaking, on this page:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/transfers.htm
(...especially click on Liquid Clays > Basic Instructions > Getting the Paper Off .... that's just where it most of the info has been summarized on that page though there are other references in the partcular techniques too)
