OMG this has to be the cutest hat!  My 4 year old would go crazy for it!

Your little girl is a doll!!!  She looks so sweet in it.

Great job!

thats cute. it almost looks like a mohawk hehe

Hee hee!  You found me out!!  That was totally where the idea started (I've made some mohawk hats for some friends)!

Thanks guys!  I love your input both on the hat and my daughter.  Yep, she's a ham...maybe I'll make that hat next.  Ha ha.

This hat is adorable! I just love the ears! I would definitely wear an adult-sized version of this. I think I need to study your pics so I can figure out how to make one for me!

Congrats on your impending victory in the challenge!

Ha ha!  The curse of the crafty-gotta-figure-it-out-itis!  Grin  I'll tell ya, if you really wanna know.  But PLEASE no tutorials!  I'm so bad at writing patterns!  Sometimes I barely understand my own notes.  Ha ha.

Ha ha!  The curse of the crafty-gotta-figure-it-out-itis!  Grin

And I have it bad! It's part of the dual meaning of "craftiness!" Wink

Any hints that you can give me woul be greatly appreciated. My crochet skills are improving and with every project I tackle, I learn something new. So, between your pics and your hints, I might be able to get a hat for myself that looks halfway decent (enough to wear during bus duty at an elementary school anyway!).

Just general shaping info, how you added in the mane (did you make a left half and then a right half and crochet it together with the mane?) and a rough idea of how you made the ears and I should be off and running.

And, as for writing a pattern out, I almost never follow a pattern true to form anyway, so writing one out wouldn't help me. I'm a "wing-it" kind of crocheter!

Thanks a bunch!

Love the zebra mohawk!

Great job, very original.

Of course, the way cute model helps.  Wink

Congratulations on the pending victory.
