A good friend of mine is having a baby in may and I promised to make her a diaper bag. I know it's a little early but I gave it to her as a birthday present. That way I can make something else for the baby! (I love to have lots of reasons to craft Smiley)

Here it is:

with matching changing pad (which I made out of a blue shower curtain):

there is one pocket on each side, one large pocket (for the pad) on the back and two slit pockets under the flap:

Inside picture: (four elastic pockets, one zippered pocket and a large pocket in front)

On each side I added a small strap with a hook and a d-ring to fasten the bag to the handle of the stroller.

I finished it last week (unfortunately to late for the bag challenge Wink) and mailed it to my friend a couple of days ago. I hope she receives it soon and likes it. She gave me no restrictions at all. The only thing she told me was that they have a blueish stroller.

What do you think?

That's awesome!  I really like the red and white bias trim.  Sets the whole thing off!

Thank you everyone! I'm glad you like it!

My friend just send me a message, saying she got my package. She's going to call me tonight, can't wait to hear what she thinks.

That is so cute. I like the little flower accent on the front.  Well I like the whole thing but you know what I mean. Wink

OMGosh!  This has to be my favorite diaper bag ever!  It looks so chic and finished.  Love the flower embellishment, as well as the flap shape, side pockets, inner pockets, and the trim, which I'm not sure if it's piping or not, but I love it all!

Your friend will absolutely be thrilled.  It will be great to keep using WAY beyond her "baby bag days."   Smiley

PS: Great idea about the stroller straps/handles!
