I wonder what I'll make today...

Ahhh, she's done! For the quilt challenge I made the fairy applique. I was going to make my daughter a messenger bag with it, but it turns out that she needed a bigger backpack for kindergarten (who knew they'd have so much homework??)

So....being the good craftster momma, how could I not make her one?

Let me first of say a hearty thanks to all the people who have posted up their oh so handy tutorials. I've found them to be invaluable when making my own projects. So to give a little back to this awesome community I'll post my own little ditty Smiley

Now on to the tutorial!

I love the heart stitching on the back so much I ache. WONDERFUL JOB! She looks just tickled.

You made that?  Wow, what a Super Mom!!  It's incredible!!!  And your daughter looks very proud of it and her momma too.  I really like it.  Did you use a pattern or make it up yourself?  It's so professional looking, so much better than store bought.

WOW Great job...I almost passed this up because my kids are grown and don't need backpacks (but I do have grand kids  Wink) I'm so glad I didn't.  The quilted piece is beautiful and the backpack is wonderful.  I love it.  Thanks for sharing.  I'm sure your daughter is proud of the backpack and her mom for making for making it for her.
