This weekend my ACMoore is giving away a free set of needles if you donate a chemo hat.  You know I gotta score me some needles!  Grin  It doesn't fit Eric Carr well but it really did turn out quite lovely.  It's done in Caron SS (of course!  Wink ) on size 8s.  I'll do it on a size smaller next time.  This is an uberquick hat to knit. The link is above the picture.  I chose something that was a little "airy" for this spring.

That hat is so hot! funkyhooker.  Love it, love it!  I love the hats that Kody May has designed!  I noticed hers is done on Patons SWS and yours is down on a somewhat thinner yarn.  I like how yours is somewhat slouchy at the bottom (the look at the moment).  Is that how the pattern is supposed to knit up?  Or do you think it's because you used a lighter yarn?  Not that it matters, I'm just curious: I like the way yours is a bit slouchy.  Tres cute!!   Smiley

I've decided I like it that way too.  I did another one this evening in a heavier worsted and I don't like it nearly as much.  I do think it came out the way it did because I used the Caron Simply Soft.  Thanks so much for the lovely compliments!

Here's my latest.  In honor of lola712's husband over on the crochet board!  I wanted to knit this one as crocheted hats just don't seem that "MANLY" to me.  This one's name is "JB"  It's also done in binary numbers.  Call me a dork but I'm a homeschool mommy and we learned about binary numbers yesterday so the stripes go 2,3,5,7,13  Grin

The severed head of Eric Carr has been BUSY tonight!  This is his 3rd FO modeling job!  This hat was a pain in the toosh but I like the way it turned out.  It fits with the airy lacey thing I was trying to get going.

Here's the pattern

Im sure the peron who receives it will love it. Thats such a cool thing for AC Moore to do- free needles if you knit a chemo cap. I wish I had an AC Moore here.....
Great job.
