I love semlor, in Finland we call them fastlagsbullar in Swedish and laskiaispullia in Finnish.

As we say in Swedish "A loved child has many names" semlor, hetvgg, fastlagsbulle, fettisdagsbulle Smiley The word semla I believe have another meaning in Finland, isn't that more similar to the bun we call "smfranska".

Live and learn Grin Never heard of "smfranska" but it does explain something I read ages ago about swedes only eating semlor once a year Wink
