Mother, Shake a Tale Feather is a wild song. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it!

Too cool! Do you have any tips as to how to make them look that good?

I love the piano one!

Thank you! First you have to choose some great polishes and don't be afraid to use two or three coats on your nail plate, if you try with more than one coat you have to be sure that the nail polish isn't to dry, this in order to avoid a bubbly layer.

You can use painting pens to draw your design before you applied the polish. It's so helpful, specially when you have troubles with freehand  draw.

Also you can use adhesive tape to make perfect lines or any pattern that you can cut on the tape. You have to remember that one coat has to be completely dry before you use the tape or apply another coat. For example, for the piano one I covered with tape the point of the nail in order to apply the black polish, then when this coat was dry I peel off the tape and paint the piano keys.

If your design is too delicate you can use a toothpick or any fine brush to draw.

Sometimes metallic or glitter polishes make the difference.

I hope this help you.

I love these!  And really love the sneaker one!  I once had my nails done in Mexico and they actually put a tiny dried flower under the gel, it was so great.  Too bad I just did my nails yesterday, or i'd try out some of these designs, they are too good.

i really like all your ideas but i find it troublesome to use toothpicks on my nails. Im not very good at doing that. anyone got an alternative?
You can use the back of a paintbrush, or cut the hairs on the paint brush until it's VERY thin.

i used to be obsessed with my nails... freshman year of high school was awesome. annyywayyy i used to do crazy stuff with them, once i did all of the spongebob characters on my nails, that took forever.

also, i used to put a basecoat of a light color and then put on a couple drops of darker colors and swirl them around with a toothpick, it turns out pretty cool if you do it right. it's like a marbled effect

Dang you guys have really good ideas!
Unfortunately with my school load I dont have that much time anymore.... but I will totally have to make time to try some of these out.

My favorite thing that I had done to my nails, well toenails was getting a flower made completely of rhinestones on  each of my big toes. I do remember that she waited until my polish was almost completely dry, and then added a dab to the back of the rhinestone and plopped it on. It was really pretty!
