wow, these turned out even cuter than i imagined them!

it's a giraffe and a tree, with green hearts in the background. i painted him last night on a pair of men's shoes from Walmart

isnt he cute?

i have some quick questions for any parents/grandparents...

if you saw these at a craft fair/store for toddlers, would you buy them for your kid?

And: How much are you willing to spend on kid's shoes?

this one is for everyone!:
what other animals would make cute shoes?

thanks a ton!!!!

They are so KYOOT!
I asked my mom...
1. "Yes"
2. "I'm cheap, 5 dollars".
3. "I like the giraffe".

Although I agree with DorkyGemo and think Pandas would be awesome.
Or maybe Koalas.

Those are so sweet!

I think that any animal would be awesome, but here are some things I've seen lately.

1 BUGS! Lots of different ones
2 Penguins... how cute are penguins! And silly! Plus there's been a lot of penguin movies lately
3 MONKEYS!
4 Any jungle theme animal is awesome... elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles, zebras could be really awesome if you incorporate the stripes too (mental note to self to make uber cool zebra shoes)
5 FROGS
6 Farm Animals
7 I think some unexpected animals could be really neat, like armadillos, lemurs, skunks, eagles, hawks, blue birds.

Your shoes are wonderful.

I'd say elephants would be insanely cute.

penguin, turtle, dolphin. bear
my friend drew on my chucks - one shoe with the bear, and the other with an extension of his arm and a sign saying 'hello'

Your giraffe shoes are fab!

When my older niece was a baby, I painted Keds knockoffs for her, and they turned out adorable.  I did all kinds of different colored flowers (none looked like actual flowers, but that was fine) and grasses and bushes, plus butterflies, a bumblebee, and a wee green worm with a grin on his face.  I did it all with squeeze tubes of fabric paint, plus a few toothpicks.

We had people make comments about them all the time, and I'd consider selling them, but it took hours to do them, and I just don't think I'd be able to get enough money out of them to cover the labor.  Pricing really should take into consideration the amount of time you spend on production.
