Does anyone have a recipe for easy coffee cake. I loved it as a kid but I haven't had it in years, so I figured I'd give making it a try.

I hope this what you were looking for.

Ingredients
3/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

For topping:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. melted butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour a 9" x 9" square pan. Mix sugar, shortening and egg throughly. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt). Stir in. Spread batter in pan. Mix topping ingredients. Sprinkle on batter. Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Makes 9 3" squares.
