I really like it but now its 70 degrees over here. So i might not get to wear it until next year.

I'll try to get a pic tonight.
That exact thing happened to me! I finished my hat last night. It was like 50 yesterday, so I wake up, throw on my hat, and now it's 70 outside. I wore the hat anyway. lol

I used Cascade 220 (some leftovers from Wicked, plus some stash that I had for a fulled belt) in colors #2448 and #9452. Based loosely on the Wicked pocket pattern and the big blue beret pattern, here's what I did:
CO 80sts on size 5 needles. K1 P1 ribbing for 1.5".
k4, m1 around. (100sts)
Switch to size 8 needles.
Row 1: *k4, p2, k2, p2* rep from * to * til end
Row 2: *k4, p2, crossover, p2, k4, p2, k2, p2* rep from * to * til end
Row 3: *k4, p2, k2, p2* rep from * to * til end
Row 4: *k4, p2, k2, p2, k4, p2, crossover, p2* rep from * to * til end
Row 5: *k4, m1, p2, k2, p2* rep from * to * til end (110sts)
Row 6: *k5, p2, crossover, p2, k5, p2, k2, p2* rep from * to * til end
Row 7: *k5, p2, k2, p2* rep from* to * til end
Row 8: *k5, p2, k2, p2, k5, p2, crossover, p2* rep from * to * til end
Row 9: *k5, p2, k2, p2* rep from * to * til end
Repeat rows 6-9 until hat measures 8.5 inches from CO edge. (approx 10 total reps)
Start decreasing as follows:
Row 1: Row 6: *k5, p2tog, crossover, p2tog, k5, p2tog, k2, p2tog* rep from * to * til end
Row 2: *k2tog, k1, k2tog, p2, k2tog, p2* rep from* to * til end
Now k2tog around until you have 6 or 7 sts.
