Do you know what I found out is the latest craze?  PONCHOS!  I have worn ponchos for years!  Now, all of a sudden, some New York designer thinks they are cool, and.....$35 and up!

I do not knit, nor do I crochet.  I am limited in my sewing abilities, but have found some great patterns for ponchos.  One of them came from the Girl Scout site.  If the Girl Scouts can do it, I should be able to!

Anyhow, enough rambling...

Anyone up for a PONCHO SWAP?

My nieces love ponchos now! Their mom asked me to knit some for them, they picked out the yarn, I knit... The ready-mades tend to be expensive & ill-constructed.
 Here's one of them:

Is this what you like?

I was mistaken.  It wasn't the Girl Scouts, it was the Girl Guides, which I think is the same, only Canadian.  Take a look here:

By the way...Is there anyone up for a swap?

I could stand making another poncho... Can we do the info so that there are measurements, ie shoulder point to shoulder point if you want a boat-neck, shoulder point to arm point for an off-the-shoulder, collarbone to wherever it is you want it to end...?
