I used a different set of colors but was trying for this:

And here's what I came up with:

the detail on the bottom

the sleeve detail

the major fair aisle part of the sweater.

I love that pattern! The colors too.  I need to learn to knit or somehow bribe my dh or mom to knit me one.

i used a pattern out of this book:
http://www.bestwebbuys.com/The_Best_of_Lopi-ISBN_1893762041.html?isrc=b-search

and then used alafoss lopi to knit it up. It took less wool than the pattern called for so i'm knitting the poncho out of the book for my neice with the leftovers.

I like it!  I've always wanted to try a Lopi patterned yoke sweater.  Do you have a modelled pic of the whole thing?

(Also, I just looked at your LJ page.  That Riders sweater is awesome!  That must have required a lot of effort!)(SK girl living in Cowtown... Cheesy)

if you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

The yoke pattern is beautiful, and I love those colours together.

I haven't taken a modeled shot yet. I need to get someone to take a pic, aside from my cats, who wouldn't look good in it.
The riders sweater took about 6 months of planning and a month to knit up, my brother totally loves it though and that's the important part Wink.
