It did take a lot of colors but I love how it turned out! I can't wait to give it to my Grandma Smiley

The other projects are amazing as well by the way! I love how colorful the sweater is. And I have to give props to anyone who has the patience to sew together that many squares for a blanket, 12 was hard enough!

I will! I think it is the perfect gift and it has turned out to be wonderful timing. I saw this pattern and thought she would love it because she has a lot of cats. She lives on old farm land in northern Ohio, she started with one cat and then they just kept showing up and getting dropped off.

So I started this afghan two years ago at work, I would crochet while on the phones. I got all most all of the squares done but then I was helping with a bunch of new hire classes for a few years on and off and put it aside. Recently, my grandmother left her 2nd husband of 29 years and has been traveling to Maryland and South Carolina to stay with her brothers and sisters. I had a long conversation with her over the phone and she expressed how she wished she had the time to make sure her cats were taken care of and that she missed them. So of course I picked it back up right away determined to finish it. This way she can take cats with her and always feel like she has a piece of home! <3

The New Year started off with many people finishing up their projects after the holidays and also starting new projects for the year!  One thing for sure, crocheters are prolific producers of yarn goodness!  It was tough picking from so many wonderful projects....I tried to select a variety  of projects, and to feature some people that have not been showcased elsewhere---you know, spread the love! Cheesy

Here are some of your favorites along with some projects that I thought should be featured in case you missed them! Cheesy

Congratulations to our Featured Crocheters!!

You are so welcome, johnson.mom2two!! You know I loved the scarf you made in the Winter Scarf swap as well...I hope people will take some time to look at your other projects as well! Cheesy

There are a lot of talented crocheters that make such cute, lovely or interesting projects...we want to be able to share with our Craftster Community...behind the scenes, we are able to look at those projects that your fellow craftsters tell us ROCK!

So everyone deserves to be here and everyone has a chance to be featured in the future!  Keep on crocheting...we love seeing the projects!
