We're all girls, we won't tell  Wink

If you're bashful, though, you can take a pic of it on a hanger! I'm just really wondering how it fits, if you had to modify the hip size, and if they actually stay up! Oh, and how wide is the back piece?

A hanger pic would be nice!

tilliev, I'll be interested in seeing how yours turns out, as I want to do the same thing. I'm thinking of using the pattern from the front somehow. Still need to print it out and take a looksie.

I finally downloaded the pattern yesterday.  I cast on at my S'n'B meeting last night.  I'm using Heirloom Cotton in a nice rich purple, and am nearly finished already.  I will post a picture when I am done.  I really like it, as it is so very pretty.  Doesn't seem to be using up much yarn either, which makes me wonder if I might be able to knit 2 from the one ball.

I didn't realize this was a free pattern. I've already got 6 projects on the needles, but one more won't hurt, right?

That's right Detritus, it knits up very fast too.  Well I have finished mine twice so far.  Due to silly mistakes, I first made mine too large, then too small.  Here is a picture of the too-small version anyhow.

That is Giant Man modeling for me.  Cheesy  You can't see it too well in that pic, but I had hoped to show the tiny triangle that is on the back, because I hadn't seen any pics of it anywhere.  I didn't realize it would be lacy too, but I like it.  I didn't work the picot edging on that one.  It looks nice but I prefer a smoother look on the band.  This is what it looked like with it on.

I have decided I'll be using some pale purple underwear leg type elastic on this when I am done.  In place of the silk ribbon that is.  No bow, just flat.  I figure it will compensate for any lack of stretch caused by substituting cotton for the silk.  Not that I have ever used silk, but I imagine it to be stretchy.

OMG- that is the most hillarious thing i've seen in a while! What a trooper, modeling that thong!

p.s- does it fit ok?  I might knit me one of these some day (not that I ever wear them, but it couldn't hurt to try, right?)

I was just wondering, does this pattern require the person to "trim," since it doesn't seem that wide? It's hard to judge the real width, since it's in a picture. I don't have time to swatch right now...

Hey, I can do artsy hanger shots too!

Okay, well, sort of. I'm not going to wear it until I've had a chance to install a bit of cotton crotch fabric, but it makes me happy every time I see it in my workroom.

My website is coming together nicely! Please send me feedback, as I don't know how well it works on systems other than mine.

Also, I have a blog at  http://neglectedblog.blogspot.com/

Yes I think alittle trimming would be in order.
