Thanks, y'all!  The chest tattoo actually slowed my progress a bit -- I had my last session right in the middle of knitting it, so that knocked out an evening of work!  I admit, part of my motivation for making this top was to show off my new ink around town.   Wink

re the straps: they are just regular ol' single-crochet strings that I sewed on.  If you want something a bit sturdier, it would be a breeze to pick up three stitches along a rib on either side and work an i-cord.  I am thinking of adding a second crochet string to each side to make double straps.  Hm ...
