Nice... It fits you well too. I'd be worried about making it fit me right.

Nice!

Is this based off of a pattern or did you make this freestyle?

Thanks for the kind words! I just made it up as I went, it was actually very simple. The cups are stockinette, the strap are are a simple sl1, k3 pattern and the bottom band is 3 rows of single crochet.

You did a wonderful job on this. It turned out beautifully I have been thinking about knitting a bra for a while now, but I haven't really fallen in love with the patterns I have seen. I have been afraid of the sizing and shaping issues of making up my own pattern, but you have inspired me to try again. I would really appreciate any notes or tips you have that might help me. Thanks~

I love your bra!
Incidentally, interweave knits has a free pattern on their website  here: http://www.interweave.com/knit/projects_articles.asp for a bra. I've started making it and it looks just like this one pretty much. And it's easy!

Ok, so I lost the piece of paper I wrote everything down on. Boo. But here's basically how this works. You will need:

Sport weight yarn (probably one ball of anything would be enough..I did not keep track of how much I used)
4 mm needles
Stitch holders
4 and 3.5 mm crochet hooks

CUPS (make 2)
I think I cast on about 26 sts. Purl one row. On each knit row, make an increase in the centre. This creates a dart. Make these increases for about 1.5-2 inches, depending on how big your boobs are. Once the dart is the desired size, decrease 1 stitch each side every knit row until 4 sts remain, unless you want a wider strap. To knit straps, slip 1, knit 3. Repeat this row until strap is desired length. Keep in mind that it will stretch. Place sts on holder.

BASE
The base of the bra is worked in single crochet with the 4mm hook. Mine is 86 sts wide and 3 rows tall for my 28 inch ribcage. Depending on the size of your ribcage and how wide you want the lacing to be, you may choose to make it smaller or larger. After you have made the base, centre the cups and stitch them on. Determine where you want your straps to sit and stitch them on as well.

TIE
With 3.5 mm hook, chain approx 27 inches (more or less). Again, this depends on your size and how much space you've left. Thread the tie through the band...and voila!

I hope that makes sense to people other than myself Tongue If you have questions, please feel free to ask!

Hmmm.... I wonder if this would actually be supportive for bigger breasts if it were made with a non-stretchy stitch like linen stitch or something... Or maybe it would be best to have some give. Interesting. It's very cute, though. If mine were a tad smaller, I'd make that in a second. As it is, I'm intrigued, but I have to try to figure out how to avoid saggage/ too much jiggling.
