Ok so I had to make one because I LOVE octopi!
Here is the original:

And then he wasn't happy with himself so he got a gender change:

And me kissing her:

She is nameless at the moment. Any suggestions?

P.S. I'm 12 by the way.

AHHH I love them!!! Especially the blue/green varigated...
I'm about to finish knitting the legs for one, (you had me instantly NEEDING to make an octupus over the weekend)... but I wasn't able to find those black beady eye - 9mm plastic buttons that you used on your octupus. Do they have a name? I like how they look.

Adorable! thank you soo much for the pattern. Shall post pictures soon.

thanks everyone!!  my octopus loves all of its fellows...

i use the basic black eyes i by at joanns, but there are alternatives...you could embroider them, use buttons, or use black puffy paint, which is nice for doing faces on amigurumi....

Heres my octopus:

http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/11745squid.JPG

He's my first projekt on DPNs so I'm very proud Smiley

I made his eyes to be looking slightly upwards - I think it gives him a bit more liveliness.

personally, i don't think you ever need a reason to knit lime green yarn  Wink  just that fact that it is lime green is reason enough
