Sort of like the spinning board has fiber friday, maybe we could do a weaving day where everyone shows what they're up to?

sounds great!  Now, I'll have to get my butt in gear and weave something for next Wednesday! Smiley

Yes, it sounds like a great idea.  I am weaving a scarf...changing color every four passes so it is going slowly.

Thursday I drove to Tennessee to R & M Yarns http://www.rmyarns.com/
I bought some wonderful threads to make kitchen towels and handtowels.  So now I am set to weave!

Schweet! I just warped my first loom and wove a scarf in about 4 hours this afternoon right after work. I can say, I'm definitely loving it as it's cheaper than knitting, I used maybe a ball and a half of yarn. I'll post it on Wednesday!

I finished another scarf on Friday.  The loom is warped to weave one more scarf.  I don't weave on the weekends so I hope to have it also done by Wednesday and will post pics of the three finished scarves.  All done in the same warp and colors but different patterns.   I am a beginner, so I am taking my time and learning so much.  I do love it!!

Here are my completed scarves.  I am very happy with them all.

Now...on to kitchen towels.....I bought warp (4.8/2 of both brown and orange and doubled 8/2 natural cottons) and weft (natural cotton flake 3.5/1 doubled).  Next I decided that I want to make four towels and make them striped.  So I got my warping board out and started to warp the loom only to discover that I do not have enough heddles.  So this morning I ordered 300 more texsolv heddles.  Now I have to wait to put them on the loom and hope that I can add the heddles to each harness with the center section that I have already warped kept in tact.  Wish me luck....I just know it can be done if I am careful.  So weaving is put on hold until my order for heddles arrives.

Now what is new for you.  What is working and what is not?  What are you working on now and planning to do next?   Would love to hear all about it!!!
