These are all embellishments for my reusable sachets. What do you think? A Salable item or no?
My first attempt:

This one won't be for sale. When I was sewing it up the back went a little wonky...
My second attempt:

White ribbon on pink flannel. I think its pretty cute...
My third attempt:

Also on pink flannel
My Fourth attempt and my favorite so far:

This one took a while and will susequently have to cost more... right?

Please, the harsh truth, what do you think...

Wow! This can't be your first attempt - they look great!  You did a great job. Was it hard to learn? Cheesy

I spent yesterday sick (okay I have spent the better part of the last two weeks sick) and pulled out a book on emroidery, crosstich, and needlepoint stitches and tried it out. It really wasn't as hard as thought it would be. The Green one took forever because I kept falling asleep or getting dizzy (I now have two ear infections. I hate ear infections!) Thank you for the ego boost though!

I like them all, but I have to say, attempts 3 & 4 are my faves!  I have to say, though, none of them look like first attempts!!

You are all too kind. They are first attmepts though. Sometimes I am fearless when it comes to a project and it doesn't occur to me that I could fail, so I don't, and then there are those things that I fail at miserably, like my sushi soap. You don't see that posted because it looks awful, and I'm not going to post it, I would much rather pretend that I excel at everything I try, if I can fool you crafting diva's maybe I can fool myself, right?

yes, i would pay for work as beautiful as yours.

i wouldn't guess those were first attempts either, especially not by someone with ear infections. (i'm grimacing just thinking about ear infections--worse than childbirth, in my experience.) i hope those infections heal fast.

you are really talented. every now and then i think about learning ribbon embroidery -- would you recommend your book? i don't expect to turn out work like yours, but it would be fun to try.

It really wasn't that hard guys. You can do this! I am using the cheap "Spool O' Ribbon" Polyester 3mm and 6mm ribbon you can get cheap at WalMart and Joanne's, you know the stuff. The book isn't the best because it only shows a couple og stitches with the ribbon embroidery, but it was easy enough for a first timer. I suspect I will end up getting another book that goes into more detail in the future though. The book is pretty good for lots of embroidery stitches though, so worth purchasing (I think I got mine in the bargain section of Borders or Barnes and Nobles...)

The Complete Illustrated Stitch Encyclopedia, Sterling Publishing

Here is an update: A few more sachets, maybe it will be bags next...

A Bobbin in for size...

and one last one... can you spot the snafu?
