Maybe you could stamp it onto another eraser so that you'll have a template and don't have to wing it with the mirror-image text.  See, it wasn't a mistake, it was an invention!

I did the very same thing with one of the first carvings I did.  Find comfort in that you'll never make that same mistake again!

You could always say it's a secret message that needs a mirror to be read.
