I can't wait!  My first swap!

I "accidentally " went to AC Moore today. 

I picked up a few things

Can stuff be thrifted? Is it supposed to be in it's original package? What should I be considering to send?

I hope it's allowed to be asked.

I would think that out of the package would be better since we're dealing with such a small space.  Personally I wouldn't mind thrifted stuff as long as its cool

Awesome! Thanks alteredmommy. This is my first swap and I'm a little anxious to not mess up. That and the fact that my city sucks for craft supplies except for a little secondhand shop which has the best supplies. I stock up on everything there. I went there today but it was disappointing. I spent 50cents.

We're up to 42 swappers!  I'm going to leave sign-ups open until tomorrow morning sometime (Eastern time), and then partners will be posted Sunday or Monday.  It's going to take me a little bit to match everyone up.

I've found loads of things while looking for a wallet that I wouldn't have considered to put in before that are actually useful and small enough to fit in a matchbox
I'm going to wait for my partners so I can customise the small contents more

...and I wish the (thrift) charity shops over here had tiny stuff, I once lucked out on some really soft wool for 50p, but that's about it. Thrifted stuff is awesome

I live in a small town with pretty sucky shopping-the thrift store is a gold mine here, jewelry to dismantle,old game pieces,bits of toys (barbie shoes!!) old books and the clothes!!!  Unfortunately its only open 2 afternoons a week.  I honestly know I have enough stuff but still keep looking.......

Ooh I like that idea. Someone could make a template and... I have a lot of masking tape to attach stuff with.

Edited to add:

I know I said sign-ups would last until tomorrow morning, but I take it back.  I'm working on partners right now, and if I close sign-ups now, I can meet everyone's mailing preferences and the number of partners come out even.  Whew.  I'm sure there will be a round 2, so if you didn't get to sign up this time, you won't lose out!
