My friend SilverAdept is graduating from grad school this spring, and as a gift to him, I decided I was going to contact as many friends of his as I could and put together a 7x7 scrapbook for him with well wishes, photos of stuff they did with him, etc etc.  I started in on thing sthat I had, and well...I made 28 pages Cheesy

I left him room on most of the pages so that he could do his own journaling or add things...i made enough pages so that if no one sends me anything, it will stand alone on it's own as a gift from me, but i'm really hoping for contributions from friends:

blurred and stuff to protect Mr. SA who enjoys his identity being kept somewhat of a secret on the intarwebs:

Our names are under the blue blocks. This page is missing something...I think I'd like to stick some sort of freindship-related non-loveydovey qoute overlayed on the friendship paper...the biggest problem is always trying to find non-love and non-girly quotes, of course. Suggestions are welcome.

Photos of the Big House (stadium) and two pages left intentionally blank for SA to insert sporting event ticket stubs

SA introduced me to letterboxing back in March, and I took a TON of photos as we walked around.  the river in the photos is the Huron River

A photo of him making a funny face is under the blue box, and the page opposite it was left blank for SA to insert his ticket stubs.

(the writing at the water tower says "yes, yes this isn't in Ann Arbor, but nearby Ypsilanti")  I mean, who doesn't want THAT in their scrapbook?

He works for the IM department as a referee/umpire, and I randomly took a photo one night when I tagged along

summer internship at the local library.  he asked me to take photos of story time for him to use at school

I sprained my foot, and he helped me out with my recovery

Day trip to Canada Cheesy

i love the psychedelic paper for the arrows Cheesy

yep, close up of us under the rectangle

We were reading the paper together in the library when i was visiting in October and came across this poem that has my name in it. Silly, I know, but... I had to.

So that's it for now.

I know I have a page I want to do with a photo from the volleyball game, and I plan on printing out a screenshot from a literati game for a page on that...so looks like i'll have 30 pages by me, and hopefully a few from others Cheesy

That's a really awesome scrapbook! I'm doing one for my sister who graduates highschool in May. I'm kinda nervous cuz it's gonna be her whole life! But those ones you did are wonderful!

thanks! you'll have to post photos!

I would have loved to have done more than just the past year and half of grad school for him, but while I've known him for many many years, we only physically met about a year ago.  (yay internet!)

He's going to be a librarian and his "goal" is to move far away from MI since he grew up about an hour away from Ann Arbor (U-M), so I thought I'd create him a scrapbook that really focused on U-M and Ann Arbor so when he gets nostalgic, he's got stuff to look at.

It also helps that he's my best friend and I'll do just about anything for him...

What size book are you mkaing your sister? I used a 7x7 andt hen printed photos out as 2x3s instead of trying to fill big 12x12 pages.  I did, however, make a 12x12 for a friend's wedding last year, but it wound up only having 15 pages!

I did decide once that if i ever did a "this is your life" type book I was going to make just a double page spread for each year to try to keep it simple for me.

Mine's gonna be a 12X12. She's my sis and we did cool things as a family so we have all kinds of vacation pics and stuff. I'll post stuff as I get them started. My boyfriend and I are also doing one and we already have like 20 pages and that's just from 2 years. We do a page for almost everything though cuz we're so into it! We're kinda silly, but it's something that's awesome for us to do together. I'll try to post those pics soon too! Thanks.

That's a good idea to focus on where he's from. He'll love it when he's moved away. I moved away for college (900 Miles) and stuff I have from home comforts me when I'm homesick, so it will be appreciated more than you know! It's really good though.
