I looked back a few pages and it doesn't look like there has been a Shrine swap in quite a while - so anyone up for it?

you could do a Altered tin shrine, Altered Matchbox Shrine, altered small wooden Box shrine - many things work for this. Would want to keep it small about the size of a Altoid Tin - Any subject works for this.

We could do one or two - what do you think? would two be too many?

thinking March or April for signups if people are interested. Smiley

here are some matchbox ones I did for another swap

and a altered tin I got from Writer78 in another swap

looks interesting, I was planning just a matchbox shrine swap for the beginning of March-after the matchbox supply swap was done (sign-ups are supposed to start tomorrow for the supply swap Smiley)

This sounds cool, I have never made a shrine, but those look so neat! Is there any sort of guidelines about making them, or are they more anything-goes?

You can seach on this site for shrines - people have done some wonderful things. Yes it pretty open - I thought when people signed up they could list three themes and it would go from there.

Michales had these little doll house wooden cabnits that work really nice for this too - they were 99 cents. nearly anything can be altered into a shrine.

Oh very cool - just love making those - I have two large baggies full of matches - waiting for my husband to ask me why I'm doing that <G>  Will sign up for that for sure.

I was just thinking today of doing something with matches- like that burnt end tramp art stuff.  I keep finding containers of matches all over the house too Grin

whats your biggest size guideline going to be?  I saw that skybluepink had some altoid tins a while ago (I never seem to see them anywhere)

Those wooden dollhouse units are 6" high and 4" wide - so that would be about the max size.
easier to mail  Grin

thats sweet gg-I was wondering how I'll fit in all these swaps!  I plan on running the matchbox shrine swap early in March (after we get our matchboxes full of goodies!!)   I haven't been able to find those wood doll houses but am sure I have some kind of tin that size around here somewhere.
