So, my husband is always complaining of seeing me endlessly knitting but never finishing or wearing a completed project.  Yes, it's true, it's true.

I thought, what a better present for him on Valentine's Day than a finished product from his lovely wife!  Take that!  I can finish things (occasionally)!  What resulted is a decent pair of socks (my first attempt actually), and I'm pretty proud.  I used the cuff-to-toe formula from Knitty and a nice variegated yarn.  Hopefully Husband will like them too.

What do y'all think?

(the colors are a little more muted in person)

The colors are gorgeous, what yarn did you use? They look wonderful, and such a cute idea for a Valentines Day gift Grin

The yarn is from Yarn Treehouse (ebay) and it's 100% wool.  It was a nice yarn to work with, which is good because I bought 10 skeins of it on the cheap.  Gotta start knitting more socks...

Yeah, I think Husband will appreciate the socks - as opposed to the standard REI gift I usually get him.

With a title like that I HAD to read this topic... I think those socks are really pretty! In fact, they're WAY too nice to be wasted on a non-knitter (or a man).
