maybe i suck at gift ideas, but my bf is incredibly hard to find gifts for.

soooooo... at lunch on monday i finally decided to make him a scarf for valentine's day... and after picking up the yarn after school, starting a horrible attempt at 5 and working 3 hours for 2 inches of progress, i started at 8 last night, and have knitted at any available time until about 10 tonight.

then finishing and sewing and i now present:

hooray! and i am awesome.

What stitch pattern did you use for the scarf?

I have to knit a scarf for a fellow - not a hippy - and I am trying to figure out what pattern to knit for him.

What stitch pattern did you use for the scarf?

i used a broken rib stitch - i understand.. i did a few searches for "manly stitch patterns" before i settled on this

it's k2, p2 for two rows, then p2 k2 for two rows

the threads and such that i saw mentioned moss stitch as a good manly pattern, too
