Welllllllllllll, what would you suggest?

Anyone with an abiding passion for a felting project, subject, technique want to lead the next felt-a-long?  You don't need to know the technique if you can point out a tutorial online we can use.  Or just suggest a subject such as Chipper did with the "flower" theme for the last felt-a-long - and then host the felt-a-long.

Some things that come to mind might be
needle felting over a Styrofoam ball

needle felting over any styrofoam base

functional felting - home decor - make a rug or a chair cushion

art - make a felted wall hanging

technique - laminate (nuno) felt a scarf or purse

jewelry

what else?

Jewelry might be a fun way to go cause we can just leave it open like the flowers and see/learn what everyone makes.  Although, all those ideas do that same thing Smiley   Most importantly, maybe this time, I won't instantly get a really big case of "a-long" block!  Smiley

What were we up to?
Needle or wet felting?
Or are we happy to blend the techniques, and just go with an item.

Also, we're halfway through this month.
Do we want to wait until the next month or do a mini felt-along for the next two weeks?

In my felting, I'm trying different ideas and techniques in shawls.
I'm hoping to make three matching shawls for my bridesmaids.
Just yesterday I spent the day with enchanted_wool and she showed me how to use the sander in my felting.
It's really encouraged me to try larger pieces
Thanks so much Wendy!  Grin

I like all the ideas.  What about a theme?

Spring; Trees; Garden; Nature

We could do shoes/slippers or a holder/cover--like a eye glass case or felted ipod holder or something more complicated like a bass amp cover.

Or combining techniques felt-a-long:  knitting with felting; crocheting with felting; beading with felting; paper with felting; etc.

I don't think a mini-felt-a-long will work for me---I am swapped at work until March 1st.  But I would be very happy to set up a March felt-a-long....

Snacker - any of those things sound fine to me.  If you want to host starting in March, that would be awesome.  As host you get to choose. Smiley

Thanks for the encouragement.  I will start one up in March.

I am thinking a nature theme with felting crafty thing i.e. combine the felt with another craft.  I have seen cool beading on felt, felt paper, knitting from felt....

See you in March!

I like it!
It should help us all to be more creative and integrate our felting skills with other ideas and skills.
