Last summer I needed a bedside table at my boyfriend's house, but I just needed a little cheapy one that I could put a lamp on.  We ran to wal-mart and got one of those ten dollar round ones.  This was far too boring for me, so we went outside and picked all the different kinds of leaves we could find in his area and I got out the paint, painted the leaves and pressed them on there until I was satisfied that it was covered enough.

*EDIT* When I first uploaded this I wasn't able to post pictures, so I'm going to repost it now.  Thanks!

Lemme know what you think!

I like it!  It seems a shame to cover with books and a lamp.  Of course, you could do the same to a lamp shade and it would match.  Did you put anything on it to seal the paint?

I didn't seal it, but I bought the glass top that goes on it, so that protects most of it.  I also don't really cover it with stuff, it has a lamp on it now that matches it color-wise, but I never got a picture of that set up... maybe when I'm back there this summer.  (I spend my school year in NM and my summer and winter breaks with him.)
