I love skirts for feeling springy and colorful. They are a quick wardrobe fresh-up!!

I made three of them in the last few days to celebrate different moods.

Here's the first, somewhat sober one with a less than sober applique. I mean you "could" wear it to work....  Grin

Here's a springy looking one.

My favorite is the last because it's twirly. It is bright orange and fun. The second pic shows it's full twirly capabilities.

I'd love opinions and comments!! Thanks for looking!!

I love them all, but I agree with you, the last one is my favorite. If I could ask, what pattern did you use?

Thanks violentjayne, it was a kinda fun applique to do.

junquette -that is a great compliment!! many thanks to you!!

supermedic and bunnysocks - thanks!! bunnysocks, it's not a pattern. It is just a 6-panel skirt. Sometime they have 8-panel(gore)skirts, too. I just used a triangular piece with a flat top for the waist area. Make the total add up to your waist measurement(or low waist or hip, where ever you like to wear the skirt). Don't forget to add in .5" or so for a seam allowance on each side of the panels(6" total). Make the bottom as twirly as you like. My material had a lot of body, so I didn't make them too wide, but on a floppy material, you could go much wider. You can probably find a visual tute on here on online somewhere. Thanks again!

They are all very cute.  I have to say also that I really like the last one the most.  I really like the flare on the bottom of the skirt.  It is really cute.  By the way, I really liked all of the fabrics that you used for all three.

beautiful skirts, love the one with the applique especially although the six panel runs a very close second.  I like how your matching skirts to your moods (you seem quite happy, also).  Inspiring!

Pretty skirts! I'm sure the third one will be awesome to wear, but I think the first one with applique makes it stand out specially Smiley
