I ordered it! A ST-Lendrum will be on its way to me!!!!!!!!!!

After 30 years I finally got to cash in some savings bonds that were given to me and I now have money for my first wheel.  I am so excited.  I am new to spinning, have only been doing it about a month or so on a drop spindle, but am so addicted.

I do way too many crafts (knitting, scrapbooking, cardmaking, spinning, soap making, etc), but this one is so relaxing to me and something that I look forward to doing.

So which one should I get?  Pros or cons on either?  Single or double treadle?  WooLee winder or not on the Fricke?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE:  A ST Lendrum will shortly be on its way to me, I am so stoked and cannot wait!  Woohoo!!

I have a Fricke st and love it. I do, however, wish that I got the folding model, as I love to bring it with me to guild meetings and knitting gatherings.

I do not have the woolie winder. I say try it without and if you feel you need it then get it.

The Fricke treadle is wide enough to fit both feet on it. That's one of the reasons I love it.

If you have a dealer/shop near you go and try out as many as you can. You also might want to go to a guild meeting in your area and get some idea of different wheels.

Thanks gals, I am leaning towards the Fricke with all my research and price as well.  I just have to decide between the ST or DT now and I am going to just go with the standard flyer and no WooLee winder.

I have a Fricke ST that I just got and I love it.  I have a weak left ankle so I prefer an ST to a DT.  That's a matter of personal preference.

I just got a Lendrum ST complete...i loooove it.  It's so versatile, and the fact that it can fold up in my tiny apartment or put in a bag and taken with me on trips is spectacular.  I finally tried out the fast flyer this morning and spun up 330 yards of mohair in no time.

Well thanks ladies, I ended up ordering a ST Lendrum Complete after all.  The wait on the Fricke was just a bit much for me and I like the look of the Lendrum a lot.  I also will get a $40 fiber credit, which is nice.  Hopefully it should ship quicky.

Sorry again for posting a repeditive topic, didn't mean to upset anyone.  Still new here and figuring things out.
