i made these last night when i couldnt sleep. theyre not as heavy as one might think as they are made from wire-y stuff i got at Micheals. they are however a tad delicate...

Wow. I like those an awful lot! You mentioned the fragility though. I would think it would be really easy to destroy them. Maybe you could dip them in a thick shellac or something? Give it some structure without compromising the empty spaces you've created. I dunno, there has to be a way!

I can't think of any way to protect them now, but if you do it again maybe you could use a sturdier wire for a base. (a clothes hanger would work).

Your trees are awesome -- great job!

thats what i was thinking...theyre not crazy fagile but they just dont like to be smooshed around lol

those trees are awesome!  I wonder if you made a little holder, kind of like an easel to display them, like of cardboard or something..
