I just traced the shape onto some fimo, baked it, and glue the paper on with some E6000.  It was so fun and easy, I did it while waiting for my friend to arrive at my apt.

Oh, thanks for the extra photo.  It's very cute.  Great idea.  I keep hearing about that magical E6000 glue that can bond steam locomotives together.
