I feel like such an idiot.

I spent some time today reviewing my stash.  I mostly do cross stitch and needlepoint, so most of my stash consists of embroidery floss, patterns, linen and aida cloth, and various UFOs.  I also knit, so I have a few balls of yarn lying about, as well as some knitting patterns (and even a couple of crochet patterns, even though I can't crochet to save my life).

What did I find amidst my stash?

- No fewer than three needlepoint items, all complete but in need of blocking and either framing or being made into pillows.
- A needlepoint UFO that just needs to have the background filled in.
- A cross stitch sampler that is so old that the initials on it reflect my maiden name (I've been married 7.5 years, and IIRC, I did the sampler before I even met my husband nearly 11 years ago).

I'm so ashamed.  I had these beautiful finished and near-finished items lying around amidst piles of floss and yarn.  I think I have some finishing work ahead of me...  Undecided

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

True. Smiley

I've got it!  My husband has "forbidden" me to add to my stash until I start finishing some projects.  (Not that he could stop me.  In fact, I ordered some yarn online the other day... c'mon already, UPS!!!)  I'm going to present these as "new" FOs, and go hit the craft stores...  Cool
