So, my guy friend was restringing his bass the other night, and since i'm the only crafty one of my friends, and all of them know not to throw potential craft items out while i'm around, i inherited them. I thik it'd be pretty cool to make bracelets and such out of them, but i'm not entirely sure how to go about doing t hat. andy advice?

use it as regular beading wire. be careful though, b/c the ends are sharp.

thanks!!! i did whip up a few, and i found that it was really easy to just cut off the ball end of the string, and then wind the string around itself... if that makes anysense.... i'll post pics when i get'em

Oooh, I'd love to see pics! I've thought about trying to make something with guitar strings. Every one of my son's friends seems to end up changing their strings while at our house, so I could get plenty to work with!  Grin

awesome!  i'll try to get pics ASAP, then. I kind of made mine by basing them off of the many bangle bracelets that i own, and i've found taht i wear one or more of my bass-string bangles like, ..every day. And that in some cases, i liek them more than the other bangles i own... For one, they are way cool, and a good conversation piece, and for two, i get to carry around a little piece of a dear friend! (and they're super easy to do!)
