My neice is a budding artist and when I ask what she wanted for her 18th birthday that I could make she asked " I really really want a lightbox aunty Tanya could you and uncle build me one? I will help pay for it as I know it would be really expensive"

So I set to planning she wanted one that was A3 sized, no problems there I bought a sheet of persplex for the top at a great price.

then life intruded and we had to put the project on hold for a month, so I made something small so that she would not go without on her special day, it was the end of december. well this weekend hubby and I got down to buissness and built her lightbox.
I think it is awesome and I drew and designed it all the burnt work on the sides included, hubby just built the box from my design and it came out awesome, she was really really happy, and I think my hubby is the best Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin.

this is before we put on the finishing touches

Now it has been oiled and burnt to completion

I really loved this project and it was so easy to make and only cost around $50 which is way cheaper than $250 for one premade this size.
