I have question though, how did you make the edges of the dress curl up like that?
with knit material, if you zigzag along the edge (the needle actually off the edge of the material on the zag) while stretching the knit it makes a nice curly edge.  the more you stretch, the curlier it is.  My new favorite techique.

I wish I knew a little girl to sew for.
dresses are too much fun, no one should be denied.  Maybe go ahead and make some, have some fun, and then donate them to a women's shelter or a charity silent auction?  (Probably an easier way to sew for a little one than the way I did it!  Cheesy)

Diannab, multiple exclaimation points?  You make me blush! (!!!!)  Grin

Once again, your model is adorable! And, I just LOVE this little dress! Thanks for telling us how to make the edges ruffle- I have a birthday party (2 sisters) to go to next week and I might have to look for a couple of cool shirts to turn into little dresses!  What size T-shirt did you start with? One of the girls wears a size 6 and the other wears a size 8, so I might have to add on to the length, but I still think I could pull it off!

Thanks spirals420, craftADDchick

My daughter is a size two and I think the shirt was probably an adult large.  For larger sizes you could find a xxl or use two tees or alter the design.

I did take some pictures of what I was doing for another purpose, but you want I can put together a mini-tute a little later today.  Yes?

Thanks! Cheesy A mini-tute would be awesome (if you have time)! I think I understand what you did, but pictures would help in a major way.

I'm speechless.  This is the coolest thing I've seen.  I can't even begin to tell you how absolutely fantastic I think this is.  Did you have a hard time turning it into a dress?  It doesn't seem like it would be to difficult.  Bob is my daughter's "favorite"  (she's 2)  Great job on it, she looks incredible.
