Hey Kids... this is my first post and I'm purty excited about it!!!

I fell in love w/ the headboards on urban outfitters.com and decided to try my hand at it and create one for my own full size bed.

I found this already padded piece at a thrift store.  It's actually a footboard for a queen, but at 30 bucks I was willing to give it a go!

I found some nice linen at Jo Ann's plus some AMAZING buttons that by boyfriend picked out for the tufting.  They are distressed silver w/ lion crests w/ a banner that says "honor" on them!!!

Here are a few picks of the process so far...

The headboard as it came from the store.

Here it is covered in fabric.

A close up where I stapled the fabric to the armature.

A couple shots of how it looked after I tufted it.

Further plans involve adding either some sort of metal cross between the tufts.  I have yet to construct the actual rig that will attach it to my bed. It will hang off the edges a bit but I think it's going to look really great in the end.

I hope everyone likes it!!!

I'd like to apologize in advance for any poor quality pictures... hey this is my first post after all!!!

it looks interesting but i would like to see some close up pics .... it is always good when you can make something at a tenth of a price than the store price.
